The Immortal Jellyfish
Margot Coleman | Theatre
Wellington Te Whanganui-a-Tara
Overview
We are everything and nothing.
Plagued by Lynx-Africa.
Tap dancing. Plastic. Lana Del Rey. And how to cook the perfect roast.
Death is inevitable.
The Jellyfish is Immortal.
Coriander tatstes like soap.
When everything matters and nothing matters, who chooses what is moral?
Who gets to decide our fate?
And why is no one talking about the fish that can live forever?
They say to be a woman is to perform, so let me put a show on for you.
The Immortal Jellyfish, written and performed by Margot Coleman, is the debut show for emerging theatre company, Lupin de Krank Productions.
Margot is a Pōneke based, multi-disciplinary creative who is entering her final year of acting at Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School.
This show aims to bring together emerging creatives and give them the opportunity to collaborate and develop their artistic voice.
Any donation is greatly appreciated and will go toward production costs and paying our cast and crew fairly!

Project Updates
The Immortal Jellyfish Update!
Hello everyone!
Thank you so much for donating to our Boosted campaign! We are beyond grateful for your support and it has not gone unnoticed.
We are emailing to update you on the success of our development season of The Immortal Jellyfish! We managed to have a successful and sold out Fringe Season. Alongside this, we were fortunate enough to be nominated twice at the 2026 New Zealand Fringe Awards!
Our nominations were for:
- Best Emerging Solo Show
- The Parkin Development Award
It was amazing to be recognised by the festival and nominated alongside some incredible artists and shows!
The funding we received from our Boosted campaign donors (YOU) was absolutely vital for us and for the success of our show. As a new theatre company, full of emerging practitioners - most of whom are still students, there was no way we could put on our debut show without funding, let alone put it on to the standard we were able to. Funding/donations allowed us to pay for venue costs, production fees, music licenses, and materials for set, costume and prop construction; alongside being able to pay our team their work.
Thank you again for all of your support! Thank you to those who came to the show, and to those that couldn’t, we hope to bring the show to you very soon!
