A Gift in Your Will
Leave the arts better than you found them

Since 2000, the Arts Foundation have been on a mission to build a culture of giving to the arts: a growing movement of people who believe artists and creatives are central to a thriving Aotearoa New Zealand. We invest in the most important capital of all: people.
Support The Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi with a gift in your will and help future generations of outstanding New Zealand artists thrive. We award outstanding artists, advocate that creativity is essential for New Zealanders, and promote the arts – through annual roadshows, video story-telling and getting the arts into the media.

A gift in your will is one of the most powerful ways to back creativity. It’s not about looking back – it’s about shaping what comes next. It’s a legacy that ensures artists continue to be seen, supported, and celebrated for generations to come. By leaving a gift, you’re standing with the people who built this Foundation – and with the creatives who will shape Aotearoa New Zealand’s future.”
Ways You Can Support
-
A Residual Gift
A residuary gift is a way to leave a portion of your remaining estate.
It will ensure your loved ones are looked after first. With a residuary gift you won’t have to worry if circumstances change, and the value of your gift won’t be affected by inflation.
-
A Pecuniary Gift
A pecuniary gift is a specific sum of money left in your will. It's a straightforward way to support, but it's important to note that the real value of a fixed sum can decrease over time due to inflation.
-
A Specified Gift
A specified gift is when a particular item of value (for example stocks and shares, property or artworks) are gifted. We ask that you consult with us before leaving a specific gift.

I believe in artists – their power to see what others can’t. Being made a Laureate in 2009 was life changing for me, I want to give back to The Arts Foundation to ensure future generations of artists are empowered to follow their calling. That’s why I’ve left a gift to the Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi in my will.”
