REBELLIOUS TAKE ON THE WORLD

Rebellious, from Red Studio, is one of NZ's Top Junior Hip Hop Crews. We are extremely proud and excited to be representing Aotearoa New Zealand on the world stage at the Hip Hop New Zealand World Championships in Phoenix, Arizona in August, 2017. Only the top 3 in each age group section Junior, Varsity, Adult and Megacrew, qualify for the World competition.

Our journey to qualify for this competition began in February 2016. We were:
� 2016 SDNZ Auckland Regional Junior Champions
� 2016 4th place Juniors at SDNZ New Zealand Finals
� 2016 New Zealand Champions at Hip Hop Unite NZ
� 2016 Grand Champions at Dancebrandz Regionals
� 2016 5th place at the Hip Hop Unite World Championships in Vienna Austria
� 2017 4th place HHI NZ Auckland Regionals
� 2017 4th place HHI NZ New Zealand Prelims
� 2017 3rd place HHI NZ New Zealand Finals qualifying for Worlds
� 2017 1st place and overall Auckland Regional Champions at Dance Life Unite.

Our dream was always to represent NZ on the world wide stage at the Hip Hop New Zealand competition. Our crew of 10 dancers is young, aged between 10 and 13 years. Over the next 4 weeks we will be training every day with our New Zealandly recognised teaching team led by Kiel Tutin with Shyvon Campbell, Christa Albert and Todd Williamson helping us to achieve our dancing dream.

Many of our dance school families and friends have supported us. Now we need extra help to get us to this competition.

While competing in Phoenix, there will be 450 of the world's best junior dancers who form part of the 3000 total dancers, from 50 countries who will be at this championship. It is an amazing opportunity.

It is going to cost around $50,000 to send our dancers and teachers to Phoenix. This includes accommodation, flights, training venue, rental van transportation, entry fees and costumes.

August is one of the hottest times of the year to be in Phoenix with temperatures in the high 40's. To give us the best chance of achieving our dream, we need to continue our training in an air conditioned dance studio. We also need a rental van to transport us to the studio and competition venue.

We all share the same passion for dance and each other. If we could, we would dance all day, every day! We are extremely excited to show our families, friends and the rest of the world what we are capable of. We'd love to show you too.
