Overview
Iorana! Help us to bring the Spirit of Rapa Nui to Aotearoa with Puku Rangi Tea performing group.
Experience the vibrant culture of Easter Island as Puku Rangi Tea tours three regions in Aotearoa! (Marlborough, Wellington and Bay of Plenty)
Since 2012, they have been dedicated to preserving and showcasing traditional Rapa Nui music and dance. Their vibrant performances include the Hoko warrior dance, resonating with the spirit of the Māori Haka, storytelling through Takona body painting and ancestral narratives, Kai Kai string games and the rhythmic sounds of Tahitian ukulele and drums.
The tour holds significant cultural importance due to Rapa Nui deep ancestral connections with Aotearoa, offering a unique opportunity for cultural engagement and community connection.
Their itinerary includes high-profile engagements, such as:
Marlborough: Special invitation to the Pasifika Festival and welcoming week.
Wellington: A key performance at Te Papa Tongarewa Museum.
Bay of Plenty: Headlining at Latin American Spring Festival in Tauranga, complemented by a unique dancer's workshop.
Help us with this significant cultural journey and support the preservation of a unique Pacific heritage.
