Overview
A sinister web of lies and corruption unravel around a jaded detective investigating murder in an isolated community.
Flaxgrass is a 10-minute brooding detective thriller about trust, exploitation, and doing the ‘right’ thing, set in the Banks Peninsula.
“I really wanted to use the backdrop of a gritty police procedural, but take that and focus less on the crime, and more on the world that existed before the murder. Flaxgrass uses the format of the procedural to take us through every level of the society, and as our lead meets all these people, he comes to uncover the real crime, the abuse of the trust and faith of this coastal community.” – Jack Thomas (Director)
