Bleeding Star - 4 track album
Bleeding Star | Music
The Project
Bleeding Star is Jude Savage, Carlos Bellamy, Kindekel Banda-Moyes and Otis Hill. These young Wellingtonians are inspired by the long marriage of melody and noise, and play carefully considered cuts that are disarmingly raw and intuitively crafted.
Much of their music acts as a catharsis for these four friends. Guitarist Otis Hill continues to battle a rare cancer, and motivated by embracing every opportunity they can get their hands on, these four are destined to make you sit up and listen.
The band are raising funds to record a 4-song album at Sandbox Studios. Sandbox have offered a generous studio package to support Bleeding Star to achieve this goal.
Hot off the back of a hometown performance supporting Daffodils and The Lazy Eyes the band was voted #1 on Wellington’s Radio Active for their home bedroom recorded demo “February”. Bleeding Star are moving from strength to strength…and quickly. Don’t let their relative youth cause you any doubt. This young outfit play with a maturity beyond their years and deliver with an unflinching point of view. They are set to take the stage at Auckland's The Other's Way Festival this Labour Weekend alongside 30 NZ bands including Che Fu and the Kratez, Dance Exponents, Nadia Reid and Daffodils. You can hear Jude's home-recorded demos (made on an old 8-track) at the link below. He plays everything on the demos and is determined to get the full band recorded in the studio.
Sandbox Studios in Wellington have offered a fantastic opportunity for us to record 4 songs. Bleeding Star hope to get into the studio as soon as possible - we are keen to take this opportunity while we have the chance.
Thanks for your support!
