
TANYA WHEELER
Tanya M. Wheeler has been working in the film industry as an award-winning screenwriter, script consultant, and producer for 15 years and as a playwright and now director for more than three years. Tanya's directorial debut on a short horror film, MEANS TO AN END, has garnered numerous awards on the international Film Festival circuit. Tanya has won six Best Director awards (Newcomer, First-Time and Female). Tanya is in post with her second short film, IT HAPPENS TO A LOT OF PEOPLE (based on her award-winning short stageplay), and recently debuted one of her stageplays, MY YEAR WITH LORRAINE at The Pumphouse Theatre. Tanya is seeking to create another short horror film called NO MORE A VICTIM about a Victim, a Killer, and his Wife. Tanya likes to subvert audience expectations with the unexpected and the mundane tthat then disturbs. Tanya is a Kiwi filmmaker from Auckland.
