10 Jun 2026Don't Look Now
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! 🥹 Thank you for all of your generosity, support and aroha in bringing this urgent work to life! From winter ocean plunges, to chilly evenings breaking each pieces down to a microscopic level, your donations have meant we can bring this important mahi to life with fairly paying our team for their work over the last few months! ❤️ We wouldn't have done it without YOU! A few words from our team below: "We are so incredibly grateful to all of our generous donors who have supported the vision of using theatrical storytelling to open up positive and empowering discussions about climate change. I’ve always believed that theatre can help change the world for the better, one performance at a time, and Angie Farrow’s climate plays aim to do exactly that. Our dedicated team have been working so hard to bring these brilliantly concise short plays to the BATS Stage and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts." - David O'Donnell, Director"To all those who sponsored our production, I am blown away by your generosity. Your help means that we can give some financial support to our amazing actors. As you know, the issues around climate change are becoming more and more pressing, and it is so heart-warming that people like you are giving this project your backing. I feel sure that we will do you proud. Thank you for being absolute stars!" - Angie Farrow, PlaywrightThank you all again, we know it's tough out there, so your support however much truly means the world. We hope to see you at the show, tickets can be purchased here 👉 https://bats.co.nz/whats-on/dont-look-now/Full Project Update -

Partners, we are blown away... Thankyou so so so so much to everyone who donated, thanks to you we not only reached, but exceeded our goal! Making any kind of art in this current economic climate is scary, but thanks to you all we can not only afford to make this play the best it can possibly be, but we don't have to lose sleep at the prospect of struggling to break even. This feels like an incredible gift as it means we can put our focus where it needs to be, on the art. WE ARE SO GRAETEFUL AND WE CAN'T WAIT FOR YOU TO SEE THE MAGIC WE'RE CREATING WHEN IT HITS THE STAGE!See you at BATS 7th-11th JuilyHappy trails!Full Project Update -

09 Jun 2026Old MacDonald's Farm
Kia ora lovely Boosted backers,I'm pleased to be bringing you the profile of another veteran of the PumpHouse stage, as well as many other stages: Terry Hooper, who commands the scene as our villain Mr Monet-Saques, or as he is often mispronounced, Moneysacks. Terry trained in Drama at Rose Bruford College and has worked in children’s theatre throughout his career. Beginning in Theatre in Education in the UK, he has since built an extensive career creating and performing work for young audiences both overseas and in Aotearoa.Since moving to New Zealand, Terry has worked with Whoa Studios, The Glow Show Company, Tim Bray Theatre Company, and co-creates children’s theatre with Act One Productions. In Old MacDonald's Farm, Terry plays Monet-Saques, the classic pantomime villain — a greedy property developer with no regard for the whenua or anyone who lives there. Terry hopes audiences have lots of fun booing the villain and getting involved in the audience interaction moments, which are his favourite part of the show.He is thrilled to be back performing at The PumpHouse Theatre alongside such a talented cast and crew. And that rounds out our cast of actors! They have been an absolute pleasure to work with, and I can wait until you get to see them on stage... less than a month from now! Wow, how the time flies.Thank you again for your generous support, and see you next time for a profile of our wonderfully talented producer...Ka kite!Full Project Update -

As Kevin and Kevin would say, OHMYGODWOW! A huge thank you for your generous donations and support! Thanks to you, we have reached 76% of our ambitious goal. We can hear bagpipes and smell bananas in the distance. We're so close. With just over a week to go, you can continue to help us by telling your friends and sharing our fundraiser far and wide. Being an all-or-nothing campaign, every little bit helps us get closer to 15k, and that beautiful moment where we can announce SOLD!Special shout-out to Go Media, who gifted us a billboard this week as their way of supporting our campaign. We're enjoying it while it lasts because lord knows there are no free billboards in Edinburgh! With love, Georgie, Katie, Bronwyn and the How to Art team xFull Project Update -

08 Jun 202650/50 — For Makers and Objectspace
It’s hard to talk about money. But learning from the conversations sparked by this campaign, we’ve realised that people don’t really know where ours comes from.Objectspace is a charitable trust. Roughly a third of our annual operating budget comes from Creative New Zealand, while the rest is earnt through fundraising: philanthropy, sponsorships and smaller grants. While our core function is to serve the fields of craft, design and architecture – to make exhibitions, provoke discourse, those good things – we spend a HUGE amount of time raising money. We’re relentless and ambitious fundraisers for an organisation our size, because more money raised means more resourcing to deliver our work (aka more money for makers!). And we mostly do this work behind-the-scenes, and don’t broadcast it to our wider community. But, in response to the shaky landscape around funding (and the power of a campaign like this to grow awareness) we came up with this 50/50 fundraiser highlighting what and whom we are raising money for, and now, WE’VE ALMOST HIT TARGET!Our heartfelt thanks for your donations and sharing – let's reach the finish line.Full Project Update
