Wish You Were Here Christchurch

#WishYouWereHereChch, artist Julia Holden's 5 billboard and 10 postcard public exhibition featuring paintings of post-quake Christchurch, has now had successful installations in Auckland and Wellington. It's now time to bring the exhibition home to Christchurch audiences.

Each billboard installation is accompanied by the local release of an edition of 10 collectable postcards, generously printed by well-known Christchurch poster company Phantom Billstickers, and made freely available through their extensive city-wide and New Zealand caf� networks.

A travelling 5 billboard, public exhibition by a solo artist has not, to my knowledge, been attempted before, and #WishYouWereHereChch would not have been possible without the wonderful assistance of billboard companies iSite, Roadshow Attractions, APN, Media5, and Phantom Billstickers, with particular thanks going to Phantom for producing the beautiful postcard edition. Warmest and heartfelt thanks to all my original donors, their generosity enabled me to meet the initial printing and installation costs for the project's Auckland debut.

Following the successful Auckland launch in June, the billboards were reinstalled in Wellington during July/August, alongside the local release of the postcard edition through Phantom Billstickers Wellington cafe network.

This new two-week campaign aims to raise $2,500 to cover shipping and installation costs for 5 billboards across Christchurch, and will be accompanied by the timely release of the #WishYouWereHereChch postcards throughout Christchurch, Dunedin, and the rest of the South Island.

Help me bring this New Zealand campaign to a successful conclusion by bringing the artworks home to the city and community that orignially inspired the project.
