Triple Scoop

Kia ora, I'm Ruby Harris writer, director and producer of Triple Scoop. I'm so excited to be making Triple Scoop, a Dunedin-made short film which follows two best friends making easy money after school.

Triple Scoop is based on my own childhood memory of me and my best friend bored after school, stealing neighbours flowers and selling them back to them, saying we were fundraising for a pony. We would then run down to the dairy and spend the money we fundraised on ice creams.

Triple Scoop is a cheeky and lighthearted portrait of two smart nine year old best friends.

THE TEAM:

We have a strong talented and mostly female cast and crew from Dunedin to make the film. We are working with creatives, actors, workers and professionals to encourage more film projects in Dunedin and encourage more women in film.

I am the writer, director and producer of Triple Scoop. This is my fifth short film with my past three winning awards at the Outlook For Someday film competition and one premiering at the Berlin Feminist Film Week 2019. 

Some of the crew we are lucky to work with are DOP Laura Tait, production manager & 1st AD Lisa Hastie, acting coach Victoria Abbott, art director Justine Tindley, editor Lyra Stewart and colorist Alana Cotton.

We have received incredible support from Images & Sound, NHNZ, Queenstown Camera Company and Mykala Tuxford Photography.
