Overview
My documentary has been invited to screen at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival - this will be it’s first foray into the world beyond our shores.
I will then travel to the European Film Market to pitch the film to Sales Agents and Distributors and hope to get a worldwide distribution deal.

TOITŪ: Visual Sovereignty Art Auction Success!
Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki hosted a sold-out screening and art auction on Thursday 29 January in honor of my film TOITŪ: Visual Sovereignty.
In a powerful show of collective support, artists featured in the documentary donated artworks for auction to help send the independent film and its story of Māori visual sovereignty around the world.
Over $100k was raised by auction to support presenting and pitching the film internationally. This will enable me and the team to dream bigger than we ever had, to enter the film in multiple festivals and competitions, represent the film around the world and fly the flag for Aotearoa NZ arts. Having the ability to be ready to respond to any festival or market is an independent filmmaker's dream. I am well on my way to creating the distribution roll out I only dreamed of five years ago.
Ngā mihi to everyone who showed up for me, for the arts and for independent film!
