Stretch Goal Message
Wow, thank you so much to all the lovely people who have donated so far, it is very much appreciated!
I am going to keep this campaign running as this project is a very ambitious one and there is still a huge amount of work left to get it made.
Over the past couple of weeks I have been drawing up the storyboards which are very close to being finished. This will enable me to plan out all the assets (extra characters/environments etc) which still need to be created, as well as getting a sense of how long the running time will be (I'm estimating it to be around 30-40mins). I'm very excited seeing how the scenes/sequences will look and can't wait to get them animated!
Your support means the world to me- it means we can carry on creating what I hope to be a well-received, entertaining short film that leads the way to a self sustaining animation business supporting other NZ creatives.
Overview
'The Telescope' is an upcoming, Kiwi-made, animated short film.
After the death of his parents, our main character Harold develops an obsession with star gazing which leads him to convert the family home into a giant telescope.
Nestled in the midst of suburbia, Harold navigates the surrounding nuisance of society as best he can. That is until one night he discovers a new star in the night sky which will change his life forever.
Follow one man's journey as he opens himself up to the universe whilst simultaneously closing himself off to the world..

Project Updates
Success!
Thank you so very much to all the wonderful people who have donated so far and got me to my goal- it certainly has given me a huge positivity boost!
I am letting this campaign run it's course, so if there are any other lovely donors it would be great to keep the momentum going as this project is a massive undertaking.
As an update on the film's development, I have now completed storyboarding and have been putting together a proposal to the NZ Film Commission to see if they can come on board. I have also begun work creating some of the characters and assets, as I would like to start animating a sequence soon!
Exciting times ahead!
