The Muf-TEE Show

The creative and theatre community have been desimated by covid 19. Having returned to isolate in NZ I realized all my long time collaborators and friends had lost their jobs.  I reached out to them and together we set out to create some iso content in order to bring joy and be able to provide our team with much needed revenue. Help us tell our stories and keep our arts community alive. Creatives need to create! 

THE Muf-TEE show is a satirical and self aware parody of a late night talk show/musical variety show. What RuPauls Drag Race is to reality television such as America’s next top model, The Muf-TEE show is to the entire talk show/ musical variety show genre.

“New Zealand’s biggest theatre star” (Hillary Barry on 7pm sharp) Hayden Tee has returned to New Zealand from playing starring roles on Broadway and the West End to weather the Covid 19 pandemic in isolation at his grandmothers abandoned house in rural New Zealand. To make himself feel at home as he did on international stages he has created a Musical variety talk show complete with a lineup of some of New Zealand’s most recognisable musical talents as guests.

Muf-TEE is Casual Cabaret, Campy songs, an agony aunt segment called TEEmail, game show segment called TEEzers, TEE.S.A Tee service announcements to help bring joy back into our isolated lives. Based on what became a cult theatre institution Tee hosted in both Sydney Australia and New York for over a year back in 2003-04 the format is proven to win and bring joy and unity back to the masses. With special guests such as Sol3 Mio, .... who sit down for an interview and then sing a song of their own choice Each episode is 23 mins long and we are seeking funding to create 8 episodes.
