We've officially reached our crowdfunding goal for Tafatolu of $7,000 as well as $3k Match funded by Boosted X Moana. Your incredible support means the world to us. We are so grateful for every single contribution, from donation, message of support, or sharing our campaign and social media posts!

Because of you we can provide some financial support to our team, Materials for costume/staging, cover fees for our team’s travel from in/out of Auckland, rehearsal spaces, Kai and necessities for our team and Marketing fees

We're now setting a stretch goal of $8,800 which will further provide financial support to the expansive team who carry multiple roles in Tafatolu, to ensure that all of our team are being compensated fairly and recognised for the mahi they do!

We cannot wait to share our stories, laughter and joy on stage with you all in the audience ready to receive!

Overview

Kia ora, Talofa lava!

My name is Nikeidrian Lologa-Peters, I’m a Samoan/Māori creative based in Tāmaki Makaurau whose passion lies in storytelling based on personal lived experience. My team and I are devising and debuting our physical theatre show ‘Tafatolu’ in the Winter/Matariki season at Basement Theatre this August 2025.

‘Tafatolu’- is a visceral, musical, and physical adaptation of the stories passed down from our tupuna, tuaā, and fanga-kui. Stories born from Pasifika mythology inspired by the traditional samoan theatre style of fale aitu. Venturing into a realm unknown we bear witness to the awakening of our ancestral knowledge and gods who have lied dormant within us awaiting their turn to dance!
