MORE MONEY MORE ZINES

Kia ora koutou,

A huge thank you to all of the supporters who have backed our boosted campaign — we hit our first goal already!!

Basically - this means we can produce a couple of high-quality radical zines, give work to a couple of illustrators and distribute it widely.

Our dream is to make MANY MORE ZINES in this way, which is why we have a stretch goal to hit ($3000).

The more we raise, the more zines we can produce and the more artists we can give work.

If you have a couple of bucks to support zinesters and radical views, now is the time to throw it in.

Ngā mihi nui,

-The Freedom Shop w/ WGTN Zinefest

FINAL DAY -- Lucky Draw up for grabs

Monday is the LAST DAY to help us fundraise to produce some beautiful radical zines, and to pay artists to do the mahi. Wellington Zinefest are collabing with us to make these zines happen, and if we can raise a couple more hundred by the end of today, that's a whole extra zine we can produce.

SO we're sweetening the deal. Anyone who donates any amount will go in the draw to win a goodie bag of Freedom Shop gifts.

Includes:

- A 'Black Lives Matter' tote bag

- One radical t-shirt OF YOUR CHOICE

- The latest issue of the 'Aotearoa Anarchist Review'

- Mystery political stickers and badges.

The Freedom Shop and Wellington Zinefest are seeking designers, artists and illustrators to work on redesigning a handful of new and classic zines from The Freedom Shop archives.

The zines which have been selected for redesign are:

Are We All New Zealanders Now? by Dr Ani Mikaere

The Problem With White Saviours by Simone Kaho

The Tyranny of The Clock by George Woodcock

These are paid opportunities funded through the Radical Zine Production Boosted campaign.

The deadline for expressions of interest is August 24th.

The deadline for a completed, print-ready redesigned document is September 28th.

These commissions are only open for artists based in Aotearoa.

If you are interested in being paid to help illustrate and/or redesign these titles, please fill out the form: try this link here.
