Overview
Kia ora, my name is Phoebe Vic and I am an alt-pop musician and artist based in Ōtautahi/Christchurch.
Over the month of June, I am very excited to be teaming up with Boosted, to raise funds for my next musical venture - writing and recording an album!
With two EPs under my belt and my career as a musician beginning to take shape, creating an album feels like the next logical step in my journey as an artist.
I’m extremely grateful to have a match donor (thank you Boosted!) With that in mind, my goal for this campaign is $5k, which will contribute to the mix and mastering of the album.
My stretch goal of $10k will encompass the rest of the project - this includes producer and studio time and will part cover the cost of working with a PR company to promote the album, when it is ready for release.
I’m excited to be working with a great team of people and am extremely appreciative of any help you can give me - big or small. Thank you so much for your support.

More about me:
I am an alt-pop musician and artist from Ōtautahi/Christchurch, with a wide and varied performance background. After the release of my EP ‘HUNTER’ in 2015, I spent some time working as an actor, which led me to work with some of the best and brightest in the bizz.
After a long time away from music, I decided to put my acting career to bed and over the summer of 2021/2022, I wrote and recorded a four track EP called ‘Strange Rituals’. This included the release of three singles, two of which I made music videos for and I was chuffed to land a spot on the coveted Spotify playlist 'New Music Friday' with my single 'Closure'.
Since completing 'Strange Rituals', I have been creating new material that is ready to start compiling into an album. This is something I have always wanted to do and feel the time is right to undertake this challenge.
The Plan:
Towards the end of this year, myself and producer Emily C. Browning will write and record a ten track album in her studio in Christchurch. When the tracks are completed, mixed and mastered, I will release two singles, along with music videos, prior to the album release in mid to late 2024.
The Concept:
As with 'Strange Rituals', the content of this album will stay rooted in vulnerable, emotional storytelling and smart pop writing. However, we plan to push further into an experimental sonic landscape with the production, as well as the vocal performance. Some of my musical references for this record are Kimbra, Caroline Polachek, Lykke Li and Self-Esteem.
Other ways you can help:
I'm eternally grateful for any financial support you can give - thank you so much for supporting me to continue to make great music. However, sharing this project with your friends and family is also a great way to reach those who may want to contribute to my goal. Taking a moment to give my project a shout out on your social media channels will help me immensely.
