Stretch Goal Message

We’ve hit our target, and with four days to go! We can’t thank you all enough for the generous support, it means so much to us. We’ve added a stretch goal to help better compensate our incredible crew who have been working tirelessly to bring this special project to life.

Overview

Our Party is a contemporary adaptation of the celebrated classic story The Garden Party by Katherine Mansfield.

Our Party is a short film that tells the story of 18-year-old Laura as she prepares her opulent family home for a party. Sudden news of a neighbourhood tragedy confronts her with a reality from which she has been sheltered by her privileged life.

Our Party: Whaanau Maarama NZ International Film Festival premiere

Hello friends,

We're delighted to share that Our Party has been selected in competition at Whaanau Maarama NZIFF's short film programme 'Nga Whanaunga: Aotearoa New Zealand's Best'.

The film will play in Auckland and Wellington as part of Programme One of the short film selection, which showcases six short films. If we are selected as one of the award winners, the film will also play in a short film Highlights selection in the other cities where NZIFF is screening: Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Napier, Masterton, Tauranga, Nelson and New Plymouth.

Tickets are available now on the NZIFF website if you'd like to join us in celebrating the film.

Thank you again for your support in helping us to reach our funding goal to be able to make the film. We're so grateful to you all, and so happy for the film to be seen by audiences very soon. We hope you'll agree that the performances by our wonderful lead cast of Davida McKenzie, Thomasin McKenzie, Alison Bruce and Michael Hurst are truly magnetic.

We also congratulate the other films and filmmakers who have been selected for NZIFF. We're honoured to be in their company.

Nga mihi nui,

Joshua, Jill, Kerry and Victoire
