One Day Moko goes to Edinburgh 2016
Louise Gallagher | Theatre
Overview
Moko's on a Mission. Help him get to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2016.
Your donation will support this award winning homegrown work get to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to perform a three week season at the world famous Gilded Balloon (one of the top 4 venues at the festival!)
One Day Moko has already been picked as a 'festival highlight' by The Guardian newspaper.
With the generous support of Creative New Zealand we have almost all the funds we need to make this season happen. We have happily pooled our collective pennies together and along with your support, this last push will enable us to cover the basics and make this venture a sure fire winner! A little can go a long way!
"Life's never a dull moment when you live one day at a time.
Meet Moko. Urban cowboy. Drifter. Thinker. His life fits into a single trolley. Moko wants to meet you. Come spend some time with him.
Inspired by real encounters with people living on the streets, One Day Moko investigates how rebellion, opportunity and routine shape our everyday lives. One performer builds a city from a suitcase of worldly possessions. Take a tour and discover Moko's haunts and secret places.
Wake up and smell the baked beans."
" moving, sharp and totally believableSimple, thought-provoking and mature, One Day Moko, is a beautiful gem of a show - don't miss it" (Vanessa Byrnes, Theatreview)
To complement this fundraising campaign we will be showing One Day Moko at Auckland's Q Theatre Loft for 3 performances only 20-22 July, 7.30pm.
Please donate to our campaign then pop onto the Q Theatre website (www.qtheatre.co.nz) and buy a ticket to the show for only $10 (plus booking fee).
We want to take Moko out to the world - and with your support we will get there!
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS SUPPORTED US THIS FAR AND THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO ARE ABOUT TO SUPPORT US, TO GO FURTHER THAN MOKO HAS EVER GONE BEFORE.
