Overview
Logline: The night before Charlotte must accept a job that will take her away from her mother, whom she’s cared for the past five years, she unexpectedly crosses paths with Damien, a former lover from a past trip. With what may be their last night in Auckland, they confront whether their connection still exists—and if it matters more than their careers as things begin to spiral into chaos.
Now or Never is a deeply human story about love, identity, and the defining moments that shape our lives. It captures the reality of being young and in love while also navigating the need to be your own person—sometimes at the cost of leaving others behind.
At its core, the film is driven by Charlotte and Damien’s curiosity about each other, about the person who makes them feel like a child-unconditionally loved. As they reconnect, they’re forced to confront what their relationship means to them.
We’re almost at the finish line of production—but we need your help to get there. We're raising funds to complete Now or Never, a micro-budget indie feature crafted by a small, tight-knit crew with a performance-first approach and a distinct black-and-white visual style.
Every dollar will go directly toward finishing production and carrying us through post-production, including editing, sound, and festival submissions. Your support will help us share this honest, beautiful, and unforgettable story with the world.

WRAPPED!!
Dear friends, family, and film whānau,
We did it—together!
In the still, inky hours of Tuesday morning on a deserted Dom Road, we shot our final scene. Thirteen whirlwind days, three city blocks, and—believe it or not—eighteen police cars thundering down the street (don’t ask how we wrangled that!). I’m still buzzing from the adrenaline and lolly snakes.
This film is the product of pure heart. Our crew—scrappy, hilarious, and endlessly hardworking—became a family. I know it seems cliche but maybe that's why they're cliches. From Max, our fearless writer/director, who somehow kept his cool through every curveball, to the cast who brought every scene to life, I couldn’t be prouder. Special shout-out to Jacko's lamp. Let's see if it makes the edit.
But as the saying goes, now the real mahi begins. Max is already deep in the editing suite, piecing together the magic we captured. We’re so close to sharing this story with the world, but we can’t do it without you.
If you’ve cheered us on, donated, or just sent good vibes—thank you. Your support has carried us this far. Now, as we enter post-production, we need you more than ever. Please consider sharing our campaign, spreading the word, or chipping in if you can.
We’re making something special, and you’re part of it.
With all my gratitude and excitement,
Jenn
