Moulds & Deckles
The Papermill | Craft and Object
Overview
About The Papermill
Established over 32 years the Papermill is a vibrant creative space tutoring artists with intellectual disabilities in the ancient art of papermaking, along with paper art and craft. The Papermill provides a safe, creative, inclusive learning environment building self-esteem, confidence and social and creative skills.
What we need
Because of who we are (artists with intellectual and physical disabilities) we need bespoke moulds & deckles that our Papermakers can work with. We spent a good few months last year developing and testing different versions designed by a local cabinet maker.
Our handmade paper is the base of all our products and art and craft. Without moulds & deckles we can't make paper!
How you can help!
We need to raise money to cover the costs of producing new moulds & deckles which are our essential tools for paper making. We have the model that works and now we just need the money to get them made for us. Please donate toward our goal – every cent is much appreciated.
