Project Updates

A huge thank you to those who have donated to our Love Local campaign!

Thanks NZ. We are 1/4 of the way to our target in 1 week! We really appreciate your support of the future of our New Zealand Clothing and Textile Industry! Special thanks to 2degrees for your support, and a shout out to other likeminded businesses who too believe in Made in New Zealand, we need your help! Please get on board and support the reinvigoration of our local industry.

To find out more about this important initiative, check out this fantastic piece on Seven Sharp last week:

a HUGE thank you to those who have donated to our Boosted campaign, we really appreciate it!

Special thanks to the support from following businesses: 2degrees, Wall Fabrics, Porter Novelli, Ruby, Kate Sylvester, Nancy Loves Bikes, Juliette Hogan, Mediaworks, QMS Media, Shout Media, 47 Frocks, Patagonia, Void Clothing, Hawes and Freer, Britomart Group, Sills and Co.

And also a thank you to those who have pushed this through their networks. We are currently sitting at 56% of our goal with two weeks to go. If we do not reach the $30,000 target for this campaign unfortunately Mindful Fashion will not receive any of the money that has been donated so far.

For us to progress our project agenda we need more funding than what we expect to get in membership fees so it is essential that this campaign succeeds! It would be greatly appreciated if you could all share the campaign with your networks - both personal and business, and any further donations would be greatly appreciated! We really need your support to reach our target.

THANKS SO MUCH TO OUR LOVE LOCAL SUPPORTERS! WE MADE IT! But we can do more...

We have added a stretch target of $7000.

Additional funding will go towards our circular textiles project, with the aim to create a fully circular textile system in NZ and eliminate waste. Textile waste issues are growing and there is opportunity to tackle this in multiple ways, including through new models, new processes and new materials.

We plan to undertake a scoping study to identify circular economy opportunities throughout the NZ supply chain, identify partnerships and prioritise action areas where innovative solutions can be introduced, in order to keep clothing and textiles in use, and add value to existing waste-streams.

Special thank you to the following businesses for their generous support: 2 degrees, Pocket Square, Huia Vineyards, Wall Fabrics, Kate Sylvester, Ruby, Juliette Hogan, Nancy Loves Bikes, Porter Novelli, Mediaworks Radio, QMS Media, Shout Media, 47 Frocks, Patagonia, Void Clothing, Hawes and Freer, Britomart Group, Sills and Co, Paris Georgia, Phoenix Eyewear, Bonded NZ, Hallertau, Fazerdaze, Boh Runga Design, General Sleep, Dhall and Nash Fine Wines, Metal Bird, Baina, Better Packaging, Charles Parsons.
