INTROSPECTION
Kerris O'Donoghue | Theatre
Overview
INTROSPECTION pleads for vulnerability as five beings surrender to the pull, looking inwards in order to step out of the confines they've built for themselves.
From a group of five Queer individuals, INTROSPECTION evolves from shared experiences of anxiety, depression, self-acceptance and obligation.
This devised theatre piece is set in a room untethered from time and location, with a single door as the only way forward. The performance evokes tension, intimacy, denial and accountability; weaved through with the intricacies of human connection.
WHY YOU'RE NEEDED
The crew behind INTROSPECTION, Introspect Theatre, needs your help to host a performance that does justice to the very personal experiences being shared throughout the show.
You will not only be contributing to an outstanding set design and costumes that present the essence of each character; you will also be helping to kickstart Introspect Theatre's cause, as your funds will be used for future projects aimed to ignite important kōrero relating to societal issues, and our hauora, from the perspectives of Queer people growing up in Aotearoa.
