inst.19-20
| Music
Overview
inst.19-20 is my debut album, to be released on Rattle Records. Though the album's music and visual design are complete, I need help physically distributing the work.
My goal is to produce a limited run of CDs. Rattle are covering the design costs, though I am responsible for the remaining costs (approx. $10 per CD). For 100 CDs, I am looking to fundraise $1200 ($1000 + approx. Boosted fee & tax).
Effective CD distribution is deeply important to reach fans, reviewers, and publications that prioritise physical music objects. By producing CDs, I increase the size of my audience and the reach of my work. This, in turn, supports my future career.
I would love for you to financially partner with me, helping my music reach a wider audience.
About inst.19-20:
inst.19-20 is my debut album, composed during the completion of my Master of Fine Arts at the New Zealand School of Music (Victoria University). To get a feel for the album, listen to "VI" by clicking on the play button above.
inst.19.20 collects eight ambient/electroacoustic compositions generated using processed recordings of piano and tubular bells, alongside field recordings of Wellington’s Ohariu Valley.
Compositionally, the album employs generative looping software, the juxtaposition of noise/glitch and ambient material, and terraced dynamics.
inst.19-20 is composed, mixed, and mastered by Jack Woodbury. Photography by Celeste Fontein.
