Overview

Hokianga Recording Studio

We need your support to help shine the light on a new creative chapter for musicians, writers, and performing artists of Hokianga Northland.

With your help we can celebrate our creativity and inspire a new generation of young people to know they can achieve when they put their mind to doing what you love’.

To kick start our project we need to raise $20,000 to purchase the equipment required to set up the recording studio and establish a strategic plan that will ensure the ongoing success of the recording studio.

Every dollar helps! Whether you can give $20-$50-$100-$500 or more we thank you.

Remember, all New Zealand residents can claim 33% back on your donation. You can read more about donating through Boosted here.

Once you have donated, help us spread the word. Tell your whanau, your mates, and colleagues. Go to our Hokianga Recording Studio Face book page.

It is our obligation to acknowledge our funders. The Hokianga Recording Studio team would be honoured if you would join us to ensure this incredible Hokianga story lives on to inspire a new generation of artists and yet-to-be discovered pioneers.

The funds raised from this Boosted campaign will:

Pay for recording equipment

Core objectives:

  1. To establish a recording studio in Rawene for Hokianga musicians, poets, writers, film makers and other performing artists.
  2. Provide a safe educational facility for our tamariki, mokopuna of all ages and cultural backgrounds.
  3. Generate part-time employment opportunities.

Our vision:

Education: Offer basic theory and practical aspects of recording and sound mixing, with the view to foster interest in future careers in the recording industry.

Workshops: Create workshops to for artists to learn how to film their projects.

Live Events: Provide a mobile recording facility to document creative events, and or provide a mobile sound system for community events.

Well-being: Share with our many small Hokianga communities, the benefits that music and expressive arts provide - wairua and aroha.
