Project Updates
Actors Have been cast!!
After some hard decisions I have cast the lead roles of Mick and Anne. Joining us will be the talented James Bayliss and Sarah Dawes. Filming is getting closer and production is really amping up! I love seeing the script come to life through these amazing people and I'm stoked to begin working with them.
Other news, we have all our locations in Hawkes Bay locked down. One of which is on my Aunty and Uncles farm. Shout out to Garth and Caroline Goodwin who are kindly lending us their beautiful property to film on. Not only that but we plan to stay on site during the shoot in their farm cottage which will be a blast.
Can't wait to merge my passion for filmmaking along side my love for the country side. Keep sharing our boosted campaign to loved ones and get the word out! We need your help to make this film.
Lets get Frisky!
Many thanks and keep pushing!
Thanks so so much everyone who has donated so far. You are helping this film get made. 6 more days to go so please keep pushing the link out to anyone interested in helping out the arts.
Here is an image of myself and Annalisa filming my dad on the farm during our location scout week. We can't wait to put these stunning Hawkes Bay locations on film! Big things to come...
4 more days!
Thanks again to the beautiful people who have donated so far. We are so close to reaching our goal! So excited for what's to come, this money will be going towards an animal wrangler on set to help us with taming Frisky the sheep. Here's a picture of us feeding the pet sheep that live next to Kawera farm.
We did it!!
Many many thanks to all our donors. Each of you will be invited to the premiere in Hawkes Bay which will be happening November this year. We are a week away from shooting so give our socials a follow if you want to be updated on the filming process. We are excited to announce that we are making a short behind the scenes documentary which will be shown at the premiere and posted online for you all to see. Actors rehearsals began this week. Here is James in his farmer fit with Sarah, costumes donated from Kim and Garth Goodwin.
Filming Delayed
Hi everyone! For the past month we have been problem solving flat out. Although we had to stop filming due to the Delta situation, we are still determined to get this show on the round. Luckily our locations are still locked down and we have heaps of outside support. It's a shame we had to stop filming after two amazing days of shooting but I am confident in our team and our fantastic story. If anything we will go into the shooting second time round with a better understanding of what we are doing.
All the money raised is still safe and not going anywhere, thank you so much to everyone who donated. Once again we would not be able to make this film without you.
I have done some recasting to help push production along. James was a fantastic team member and did such a great job as Mick. Unfortunately he is moving out of the country in October so best of luck to him! Jordan Rivers has jumped on board to play the role of Mick and I am sure he will do a brilliant job of it.
I am confident this film will get made and will be better than ever! At the end of the day the Covid situation is out of our control, however we will do all we can to work through it.
I urge you to follow our facebook and instagram pages. We will be posting a video update shortly :)
