Encountering Mind Exhibition

I am having a solo show of paintings, at the LeftBank Art Gallery in Greymouth. 

Why Boosted crowdfunding? Living in a small town in the remote area of the Westcoast, resources in regards to the arts are challenging, the internet has made it possible to live anywhere in the world and make cutting edge art. It makes sense to me that the idea of crowdfunding has emerged recently, and i see it as a very useful platform to be able to continue contributing my paintings to Aotearoa's visual culture.

I am needing people to contribute funds, and help me achieve my goal in raising the funds necessary to rent the gallery space for my show. 

The work is about the intersection between Buddhist thought and western postmodern philosophy. I respond to these themes throughout the work.

The series of paintings elaborates on concepts around 'interrelationship' and 'interconnection" and I hope my paintings provoke the viewer to encounter their own mind and contemplate the consciousness where each individual's unique perspective comes into play when visiting the show.
