Overview

"DEAR DIARY..." is a digital inter arts residency youth exhibition.

The 312 Hub is asking our people for support to help deliver and provide artist and resource fee packages as a part of our project "DEAR DIARY..."

We’re dreaming of serving up 12 delicious one month-long residencies for and by young creative natives to tutu (play around), showcase and share their art in spaces between spaces.

What's with the name?

Well, a DIARY means a daily record right? Usually private, especially to document lived experiences, observations, feelings, attitudes, etc.

"DEAR DIARY..." is a 'punch-your-face-with-a-smile' creative response to the impacts of COVID 19. Transforming the concept of a diary as a space to share your feelings safely, The 312 Hub are repurposing their platform to create space for young creative natives to spark brave and thought-provoking conversations relevant to their lives, highlighting the struggles and triumphs whilst glueing the cracks of society back together with creative expression.

We need your help to make ‘DEAR DIARY...’ more than a dream.

Now is the time to amplify the importance between wellbeing and creativity but we can’t do this alone. Your generous donation will help in bringing this projects to life so we can help our young, talented, aspiring creatives thrive.

Thank you for backing and supporting this project,
The 312 Hub.

UPDATE FROM OUR DIRECTOR!

A huge mihi to all those who have kindly donated to our kaupapa "Dear Diary..." it means alot to us to know that people believe in the mahi we do because of those who've supported us, we are at 12%.

Ahakoa he iti, he pounamu. However small, it is a treasure. For that we are truly grateful!

For every donation we receive over $500.00 we want to frame the names and faces of our donors who will become honorary "Lifesavers" who help push our kaupapa. These faces will be displayed in our Hood School Board Room to remind us of the people who help us keep our whare standing.

For every match donor who wishes to match donations $1000.00 or over, will also become honorary Lifesavers on our wall and will also receive a complentart mural art piece (Auckland only) as a reciprocation of our aroha. The more putea matched, the bigger the wall we can paint.

Every dollar counts and enables us to flip this dream into a reality.

We're thankful for our collective creativity to shape our resilience through these times and are excited to put it all into use for this campaign because it means so much to us in a time where we felt quitting would be much easier. But quitting isn't our style! This ones for our future leaders.

Our director and co-founder Amiria Puia-Taylor speaks on "Dear Diary..." a little more in this next video...
