Centrestage Youth Theatre's 10th Birthday Celebration

2020 marks the 10th birthday of Centrestage Theatre Company’s youth theatre programme, Centrestage Youth Theatre (CYT) and we want to celebrate it!

A LOT has changed in our community over the past 10 years, and even more so in the past 10 weeks! Who would have thought the world would be facing a global pandemic just a few weeks ago while we were still enjoying our summer barbeques? This pandemic has disrupted and challenged businesses, schools, community groups, the arts industry and more in ways nothing else has in recent memory – but that won’t stop us from celebrating CYT’s birthday!

Friday 22nd May, 7:30pm via You Tube, CYT will be presenting a live-streamed 10th Birthday Celebration Variety Concert to help fund raise money for our theatre in the midst of this global pandemic. Featuring performances of current CYT members and special guest performances and appearances of past CYT alums and friends of Centrestage and CYT alike, this will be an online event unlike anything Centrestage has produced before - and with 10 years of youth theatre workshops and productions, that’s a LOT of talent!

This will be a FREE event for everyone to enjoy online on the comfort of their own homes.

We have set-up this campaign for viewers to donate whatever they can to help raise money to support our theatre “keep-the-lights-on” by paying the bills that don't stop even though our doors are closed, and to ensure our community will have a local theatre once this pandemic comes to a close – we have another 10 years of theatre we are DESPERATE to get back on stage!

We are proud to showcase some of the huge talents that are a part of our theatre family, past present and most certainly future, and we can’t wait to bring audiences 10 years of fabulous youth theatre direct to their homes!
