Bait
Ken Burns | Theatre
Overview
13 years in tv production in sport, news, children's and primetime gave me the enjoyable but tense experience of live telly. I ended up a commissioning executive at tv3.
Theatre gives me back that live opportunity which I love, while working on keeping my audience interested all the way through.
Working as a writer in both genres throws its own challenges out that I am happy to take on.
Bait is 20 minutes long. It is one of 3 plays completed during Gary Henderson's Theatre writing course in 2015. It makes clear how family can tease and provoke without getting upset over any insult.
The money from boosted will go to the actors who have the courage to make themselves vulnerable onstage.
Miles and Sarah work in a supermarket. They are related but remain single. Henry is new to the butchery department in management. Miles and Sarah take it upon themselves to see who can have the closest encounter with Henry at Friday night drinks.
