Remember, not everyone you ask to give will give, so even a modest crowdfunding campaign aiming to raise a few thousand dollars requires getting in front of thousands of people.Unless you’re famous in your own right or have strong social influence, it’s unlikely you’ve got immediate access to a network of this size. Running a successful crowdfunding campaign requires many skills. But you don’t have to do it all by yourself. In fact, you’re more likely to succeed if you don’t fly solo, because team driven campaigns raise 38% more than solo campaigns.

Events can raise awareness of your campaign, raise money, reward your core crowd and create opportunities for media coverage.But they can be time-consuming to organise, so if you can piggyback on existing events where you can make an ask, or have a supporter ask for you, even better.
