Colour Me Cecily- Tamaki Makaurau
Kia ora tatou, I created Colour Me Cecily back in 2018, premiering it at BATS. Since then, Cecily has been on quite a journey, both onstage and off. Creating and performing this work has brought me so much joy over the past seven years. I initially made it as a way of dipping my toes once again, following a length hiatus from performing. Since then I have had three sellout seasons in Wellington, taken the old gal across the ditch to Sydney, and had a successful tour to Christchurch and Dunedin. Earlier this year I was invited to do a season of it at Q Theatre in Tamaki Makaurau/Auckland. I need to raise some funds to help get Cecily to the big smoke. I began my theatre journey at NASDA, graduating in 2001. I am delighted to have the opportunity to perform my show at Q Theatre, in the big smoke of Tamaki Makaurau.

Running events
Events can raise awareness of your campaign, raise money, reward your core crowd and create opportunities for media coverage. But they can be time-consuming to organise, so if you can piggyback on existing events where you can make an ask, or have a supporter ask for you, even better.04 Sept 2024
