
Antonio Bukhar Ssebuuma
Antonio is an award-winning dancer originally from Uganda. He is a choreographer, dance teacher, artistic director and community arts practitioner. He runs popular afro-fusion classes in New Zealand under the brand “Afro with Antonio”. His rich artistic practice blends styles, namely Hip-hop, contemporary, dancehall & breaking. He received the Pina Bausch Fellowship in 2017 as a visiting dance scholar at The University of Auckland and was awarded the Caroline Plummer Fellowship in community dance at the University of Otago.
