HELP US GET MARY-ANNE ON THE ROAD!!

"What Happened to Mary-Anne?" is a rock show adventure following the trying times of 36 year old trans night nurse, Mary-Anne Wells, who in 1994, made 4 bad decisions that changed the trajectory of her life FOREVER! Peppered with nostalgic, classic rock tunes that have had our audiences dancing and singing in their seats, we invite people to experience a live rock concert at the glorious Pig Bucket! We want to take Mary-Anne on the road in 2026! In order to do so, we are seeking crowd funding to become a fully tour-able and marketable machine! 

My name is Brady FABULOUS Peeti, the writer, producer and performer of "What Happened To Mary-Anne?". I work in collaboration with the following incredible artists, all of whom bring their insatiable talents that help make our rock show SOAR!

We are seeking just $7000 that will support us in making Mary-Anne a tour-able show for 2026, 2027 and beyond!

We are proudly supported by E Tū Toi, who will match fund our campaign by $3000 if we are successful. With this added support, we have high hopes that we will be able to achieve our goals.

With the funding provided, we will have the means to do the following:

- Create top quality promotional videos including a trailer, vox pops and social media teaser videos.

- Full professional recording of the show from multiple angles.

- High quality marketing materials including up to date show imagery.

- A redesigned set that is tour-able and stage ready.

In November 2024, "What Happened To Mary-Anne?" was selected by Auckland Pride to be one of 3 shows programmed for Pride Elevates. With the combined support of CNZ, we were able to produce and present our first ever season in February 2025. 

At the heart of the show is a story about trans joy and the desire to live in it at all costs. Political figures are continuing their tirade over restricting and banishing trans people who are simply trying to live their lives. The effect of this is that so many of us are retreating to our homes, locking our doors and disappearing. This. Can. Not. Continue!  This show was written in spite of it all and to remind our community that there is still joy to be had, you just have to look for it.

"What Happened To Mary-Anne?" has international appeal with universal messages that many different groups can pull from and relate to. That is why we believe that our show has a long life ahead of her. Backing us will allow us to share our story across the motu and the world, giving us visibility in places where our trans community need reminding that we are fearless, relentless and powerful when we finally live for ourselves.
