Help Bring AFTERPARTY to Life!
An interactive live band theatre show premiering at the 2026 Fringe Festival
AFTERPARTY tells the story of Halo, a young dreamer and lead singer of a band fighting to be the greatest. Amid pressures from Tall Poppy Bullies, Small Town Plug Cuzzies, and whānau land disputes, their final shed performance becomes a battleground of secrets, uninvited guests, and real-life struggles. Can the After Party be saved?
This show dives deep into themes like drama, drugs and alcohol, language, politics, bullying, land disputes, and family dynamics—but challenges stereotypes by showing the full humanity behind these stories. It’s raw, honest, and hopeful.
What Makes AFTERPARTY Special?
AFTERPARTY is more than theatre — it’s a live band experience. Since 2021, the band has been rocking covers and is now creating original music. With an upcoming recording session scheduled this September, we’re preparing to release an EP that will complement the live performance with fresh, energetic tunes full of party vibes.
The band’s presence on stage is integral—it drives audience interaction, powers seamless scene transitions, and honors all the whānau chasing their dreams, no matter the odds.

The Impact
The heart of AFTERPARTY lies in the strong connections formed by our team, built on the foundation of our Mātāpono (core values). This foundation guides our creative process and will shine through every rehearsal, collaboration, and ultimately, in our live performances.
Our goal is to create more than just a show — we want to immerse the audience in the world of a real shed party with a live band. Through interactive storytelling and an inviting atmosphere, we invite viewers to mix, mingle, and become part of the AFTERPARTY experience.
The live band brings an electric energy that is essential to this experience. Known for getting crowds dancing, AFTERPARTY’s infectious vibe will enhance the atmosphere, creating moments of joy, connection, and celebration.
Together, these elements will take the audience on a rollercoaster of emotions — from heartfelt drama to fun, dance, and realness. Our aim is to leave every viewer positively impacted, inspired, and uplifted by the stories and energy we share.
