The Project
The Man Who Sold the World is a story about the deals that hold societies together, and the fractures those deals create. It challenges the illusion that nations are built on pure principle, exposing instead the messy truth: survival comes at a price, and progress is bought with compromise. This project will not only spark debate, it will provoke audiences to ask themselves what would you trade to keep the world from falling apart?
The Team
Hi everyone! We are a team of students from AUT. We have all worked on variants versions of this film through out the year, and we would love to bring the final version to life!
The Funding
We are fundraising to cover the costs of costumes, location, food, promotion, and transport, as well as to give back to our actors and crew for their time and dedication.
The Details
We strive to create art that is not only visually striking but also prompts the audience to reflect on themselves. At the same time, we aim to challenge our own creativity and showcase the skills and knowledge we’ve developed over the past three years.
The Impact
As emerging filmmakers, we see this project as both a creative challenge and a vital conversation starter. We’re not only telling a story, we’re using our skills to hold up a mirror to society, inviting our community to engage with questions that matter.
By supporting us, you’re helping to give a voice to young storytellers who want to push beyond safe narratives and create art that resonates with the audience long after the credits roll.
Donating to this project means investing in young talent and a film that will encourage audiences to think more critically about the world we share.
