The Details
1) The Lizard Lies Within: A Lizardmen Movie Play Musical
From the mind of JOHN FILMMAKER comes a non-fiction dream-mare (dream + nightmare) following the part-time spy and supermodel Pogolo Vaunslaught, who is tasked with the mission to locate the Lizardmen who secretly rule the world - through the power of their hypnotisational (yes, it is a real word) hips...
2) The Geoffrey Beaver Podcast Live!
is a new contained podcast-style comedy show featuring the grand return of the disgraced (he would prefer ‘misunderstood’) television personality (he would prefer ‘journalist’) Geoffrey Beaver. Coming back from a disastrous documentary in which Beaver falsely accused an aerobics club of being a Satanic cult, Geoffrey is once again trying to rectify his reputation in the viral podcast format. A self-proclaimed seeker of truth, he sees himself as a figure like Louis Theroux or David Farrier, when in reality he is more akin to Alan Partridge and Tucker Carlson. Undoubtedly, Beaver’s grand return will be met with none of the enthusiasm he expects, and the podcast landscape contains far stranger people than he could possibly imagine.
The Impact
These outrageously funny and absurd shows belong in Wellington's Fringe Festival. This is a totally Wellington show that students and adults alike will absolutely go nuts over in the best way possible. We need to laugh hysterically, maybe now more than ever. These ridiculous shows need to be seen to be believed, and we believe you can help us make these shows be the best they can be.
