5 days left!
Kia ora!
We only have five days left to go for our campaign!
Thank you so much to those who have donated thus far. Due to Boosted's all-or-nothing nature, we only keep the funding if we hit our target goal!
Your contribution will help us cover every aspect of the production, including entry fees for local and global film festivals. Filmmaking is an essential art form that we'd like to cultivate here in Aotearoa, New Zealand - so any donation counts!
Sharing this campaign with your friends, peers and family will help us greatly and could be key in us reaching our goal.
Thanks again!
Ngā mihi,
James
3 Days to Go!
It’s pretty indescribable to see a film you poured all your time into this year finally come to life.
When I wrote “Strangers” in late December, we had nothing locked in- no locations, no cast, crew, nothing.
Surreal.
It really does take a great team to pull off a quick shooting weekend - and I'm thankful we had the best team members possible!

Thank you!
We reached our target goal!
From our team, thank you so much for the donations over the past month. Filmmaking is not the easiest art form to create, so we appreciate everyone who has supported our vision!
Next is post-production. Our team is sifting through the footage and crafting the best story possible. We're really happy with what we got over the weekend - and we cannot wait to show you the finished result! For those who donated, we will give a special thanks to you in the film's credits.
Once the film is complete, it will be submitted to local and international film festivals.
If you would like to follow our journey, head to Zine Film Collective on Instagram or Facebook (https://www.instagram.com/zinefilmco, https://www.facebook.com/ZineFilm/).
Thanks again, and we'll keep you posted with more updates!
And... we're picture locked!
We have just finished cutting "Strangers"! The next steps are sound design, colour grading and music composition.
A big shout out to the post production team so far.
Film festival season is just around the corner!
“Strangers” is done!
We couldn’t have done it without our talented cast, crew, extras, Boosted donors and the support of friends and family!
Written in late 2022, it’s been a rewarding few months creating this film.
Pictured - a behind the scenes shot from the day. Thanks to Hamish Graham for his photography.
Now time to hit the film festival circuit.
Onto the next short film!
