The Project

Spectacle presents: Extend; a dynamic, immersive, participatory multi disciplinary pan-art show featuring over 30 Ōtepoti/Dunedin artists coming together from March 14 - 23 to showcase interactive artworks, workshops, and live music performances from some of Ōtepoti’s finest with accompanying visual treats by local artists.

We’re working with the Dunedin Dream Brokerage to secure a venue, and have been lucky enough to be awarded some funding from both the DCC Arts Grant and DCC Creative Communities Scheme. We’ve secured some sponsorship thanks to Beam Me Up Bagels, Emerson’s Brewery, Grid Coffee, Inch Bar, Phantom Billstickers, Relics and Woof! Dunedin. These funds will cover modest artist commissions, some performer fees, some material costs, and workshop costs.

For the first time we’ll be charging a modest entry fee for the music & visual treat nights, as well as a koha for workshops, though we will be hosting a FREE opening event featuring live music from experimental jazz quintet Piecemeal.

BUT we still need YOUR support to realise the FULL potential of this project.

Your donation will help us to promote the show, make it look and sound spectacular as well as paying the documentation crew, and contributing to covering a multitude of other costs including performance fees.

Nominated for Dunedin Fringe Festival's Best Original ConceptBest Dance and Outstanding Technical Achievement for their debut show in 2021, and nominated for Excellence in Music for their interactive band at Spectacle presents: PLAY in 2023.
