NZs ONLY folkpunk duo make a music video

Cricket Farm is New Zealand's only folk/punk duo and we ain't got a music video. We have decided our never-before-heard track 'We Animals' needs a visual story to go with it. The song is about challenging what we think by questioning the status quo of our world...and not letting anyone tell you what to do!

HOW IT COMES TOGETHER.
The script for 'We Animals' was written by Hayley Robertson (Cricket Farms lead singer/art director) in a hut, on an island in Fiji, during a tropical storm. With input from director Matt Dawson, videographer Ben Sarten and Sims (songwriter/guitarist) Hayley managed to get the story on paper.

The story is packed with action, comedy, fantasy, romance, horror and poo jokes. It follows the anarchist actions of 5 MONSTER DOGS and the EVIL antagonist seeking to destroy them. 
Stylistic choices inspired by films from the 90's such as 'Edward Scissorhands' by Tim Burton and music videos like Bjork's 'Human Behavior' and Daft Punks 'Around the World' by Michel Gondry.
Truly a story for everyone to enjoy.

THE KAUPAPA of Cricket Farm and this project is about encouraging all our talented friends and crew involved to fully let their creative freak flag fly, take risks and support each other. New Zealand's greatest export is its people, and the young filmmakers and musicians of Aotearoa have BIG ideas to share.

TIMELINE
We are currently in pre-production, getting locations, wardrobe, crew organised and plan to shoot by the end of OCTOBER.
NOVEMBER will be spent editing and colour-grading and in DECEMBER the finished music video will be released online with a party to boot.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION
Monetary support will go towards feeding the crew nutritious food, costuming the actors, set decorating the locations, lighting each scene and most importantly, paying the cast and crew for doing all the heavy lifting so that they may continue to grow the arts community.
This is a ZERO WASTE production. Everything we use will be recycled and reused so you can rest assured that your contributions will not add to a landfill.

OUR CONTRIBUTIONS
Outside of the boosted campaign, Hayley and Sims are both contributing $1000 each to the production, as well as any dormant band funds that are down the side of the couch.
Production company and friends of the band CHILLBOX CREATIVE have already come to the party with an additional $500.
