Massive Theatre Company is a creative home to generations of artists. Massive has finally found a place to call home and we want to share it with you! We’re a multigenerational physical theatre company, established in 1991, made up of hundreds of actors, writers and directors who create and tour original, critically-acclaimed work made from real stories, reflecting the rich diversity of Aotearoa. Massive’s homegrown team of teaching artists lead dozens of free workshops for rangatahi and provide countless hours of free career-building professional development. For over 34 years, Massive has firmly established itself as an active and vital cornerstone of the performing arts industry.

It will also help secure Massive’s future and the next generation of Aotearoa artists. If we reach our goal, our hearts will be full, our home will be open and New Zealand’s vibrant performing arts community will thrive as a result.

Create a home for artists – our goal is to continue creating a vibrant arts hub where artists can gather, share, rehearse, dream and create extraordinary things. 🏠

Offer free venue hire - for artists, collectives and creatives who need space but can't afford it — breaking down the barriers that stand in the way of making great art. 🆓 

Our workshops are free - but it costs Massive to run them. Help us continue to introduce more people to the performing arts, from age 14 to any age! 🚸

Bring back development opportunities – in recent years we’ve had to make cuts to what we can offer due to funding restraints, but with your help we can overturn that and bring back a full programme of workshops and productions that benefit thousands of people each year. 🤝 

Support live performances – providing space and resources to facilitate the creation of powerful, homegrown work that speaks to the heart of Aotearoa and reaches audiences across the motu. 🎭
