Help us get Euphoria Mega Crew to HHU Worlds in Prague!

Euphoria Dance Studio is the first Filipino-owned and operated hip-hop dance studio in Aotearoa New Zealand, proudly based in Ōtautahi Christchurch.

Since we began competing in hip-hop dance competitions, our crews have been steadily growing - not just in skill, but in unity - with one shared goal: to one day compete at the biggest hip-hop dance competition in the country and qualify for Worlds. And this year, in June, our very own Euphoria Mega Crew were honoured to not only win 1st Place in our national division, but also qualified and were selected to represent NZ at the Hip Hop Unite World Championships in Prague, Czech Republic this October. There, we’ll compete against dancers from over 23 countries and thousands of the best from around the world - one of the biggest events in the global hip-hop dance scene.

Our coach and choreography team, led by Setu Mosegi, Jobelle Nuñez (Euphoria Director), Yama Dempster-Passang and Chloe Wright, collectively bring decades of knowledge, creativity, and leadership to the team.

Euphoria Mega Crew is made up of 19 dancers between the ages of 16-32, a diverse group of individuals from all walks of life who are committed to pursuing their passion - all while balancing the demands of their work, study and life commitments to make this incredible dream become a reality. 

Through years of hard work, dedication, and a genuine love for dance and for each other, Euphoria has grown into the community that we have today. Each dancer brings their own journey and experience - and together, they’ve helped one-another become not only stronger performers, but better human beings.

Now, we’re ready to take it to the next level - to represent not just our country on the world stage, but also our cultures, communities, and the people who’ve supported us every step of the way.

We would be incredibly grateful for your support to help get our team achieve this dream of competing at the Hip Hop Unite World Championships. Every dollar you contribute will go directly toward making this dream come true.

With an estimated cost of around $6,000 per dancer (travelling modestly) your generous donation will be used to help assist with essential costs including:

• Travel & Accommodation - return flights to Prague, internal travel and accommodation for the team
• Competition Fees - registration fees, official Team NZ uniforms

Every dollar counts towards our goal - no amount is too small. $5, $10, $100 - every bit helps, and we are grateful for your support.

We will travel to Prague in October and dance on the world stage. Our motto at Euphoria is, "to leave everybody we meet with at least 5% more joy than when we found them." We stand by this 100%. We also get to train and connect with other dance communities from around the globe and bring this knowledge and experience with us back to Ōtautahi Christchurch to share with out wider community.

This is a significant achievement and milestone in our journey - not only for our dancers but also for our studio. As the first Filipino-owned dance studio in Ōtautahi Christchurch and New Zealand, we are honoured to have the opportunity to represent our country, our cultures, and our community. 

While the hip-hop dance scene in the South Island may be small, it’s full of heart, passion, and drive. We strive to be a beacon of inspiration and unity for dancers across Ōtautahi Christchurch, and the wider dance community across New Zealand - wishing to show our community that no matter where we come from, your dreams are possible through hard work, heart, resilience, dedication and showing up for one another.
