Late Fees

The Project
OVERVIEW - Our Vision
When a struggling video store owner finally snaps, he begins to hunt down and dispose of his former customers who owe him late fees; killing them in ways inspired by the films they failed to return.
This 8 minute short film draws inspiration from Clerks, Hot Fuzz and Se7en, and gives visual tribute to many well known films across different genres. The film is an action packed love letter to film lovers, physical media and the last standing video stores in Aotearoa. Prepare to laugh, be disturbed and expect the unexpected in this twisted film.
In this digital age, it’s always good to keep the media physical; that’s why we need help funding for our practical effects: Lot’s of fake blood!
The Team
ABOUT US:
Our team is made up of five passionate students who want to go out with a bang (ideally from the barrel of a shotgun) to create an amazing longstanding short film for our final production course. We are willing to put all our collaborative efforts into this production in order to create an original and exciting film.
The Funding
WHERE'S THE MONEY LEBOWSKI - What your donation will do:
Fundraising for this film will go to paying and catering for our cast and crew. We also desire a strong art department, creating a larger world building for our short film, as well as donating to local businesses such as Aro Video who are supporting our project. In this digital age, it’s always good to keep the media physical; that’s why we need help funding for our practical effects: Lot’s of fake blood!

WHAT’S IN THE BOX?? - Our Goals for this Production:
Our goal for Late Fees is to create an engaging, funny, and realistic dark comedy that will compete in film festivals throughout Aotearoa and possibly worldwide.
Anything you are willing to donate would be greatly appreciated, even sharing our campaign will be such a huge help for our goal. We want to make a great movie, and do justice to the premise.
We welcome donations big and small, anything you are willing to give gets us closer to our goal!
