Hooked

From test shots to rewrites, location scouting, auditions, and plenty of coffee-fueled meetings the hooked team has been hard at work bringing this coming-of-age tale to life. If I had to summarize “Hooked” in three words it would be, “ Fantastical, mysterious, and Human”. We have whittled down a broad idea that was only backed by characters and aesthetics into a short script. Our short film has become a strong message for the poor representations and expectations placed upon kiwi males. Our coming-of-age story tells a tale that casts out the dangers of placing someone on a pedestal and the importance of what it means to be yourself. Our team is looking to raise 5k to make this film possible. The money from this boosted campaign will go towards paying our actors, catering for the crew, art department, location fees, and most importantly, our sea creature. The team has worked very hard to get this project to where it is today, and we look forward to making this exciting short film. We need your help !!! Hey my names Oliver Aldridge, as Dop & Editor I am excited to create an engaging short film that people can relate to. I am excited to use the skills I have learn’t over the few years to create something that we can all be happy with. As editor I am excited to work with the director and colourist to bring the final project together.

Hi all, I’m Corban Coventry the writer, co-editor and colourist for Hooked. As writer my role will be working close with the director, getting his vision and mine out onto the big screen and down in writing so we can make something to the best of ability. Taking down his input and notes, adjusting it to what has been written down to what’s envisioned. As the co-editor and colourist, I’ll be doing the same but with the D.O.P, editor and probably the Director too. Working on what colour schemes and palettes they’ve decided to go with for the major project.

Hey all, I’m Caitlin O’Hagan the producer of Hooked. My role works closely with the Director but also the the rest of the team members. I have handled the budget, health and safety documents, our fundraising plan as well as location permits. I will continuously be overseeing all elements on Hooked from pre-production, during production as well as post-production, making sure everything runs smoothly and to iron out and kinks that may arise throughout production.

G'day, I'm Chris the co-writer, sound technician, Director, and creator of Hooked. I grew up in Queenstown and now study in Wellington. My roles on Hooked have resulted in project lead. As the film's co-writer, I developed the story overview and characters. As Director, I am currently working closely with all team members to ensure the execution of the film's vision.
