The Project

Help Me Take the Stage on a Global Journey!

I'm thrilled to share that I’ve been given the opportunity of a lifetime—to travel for two and a half incredible weeks to rehearse, be mentored by top creatives, and perform on a world stage alongside 23 other amazingly talented artists.

This journey isn't just about performance—it's about growth, connection, and representing our stories on a global platform. I’m so grateful to be part of it, and I’m reaching out for your support to help cover the final bit of funding to make it all possible.

Every donation, big or small, brings me one step closer to living this dream and making lifelong memories with a powerhouse team of performers. Thank you for being part of this exciting chapter—I can't wait to share the experience with you!

The Team

My amazing family is helping to fund most of this trip because they truly believe in the value of this experience and what it means for me. I’m so grateful for their support, and now I’m reaching out to ask for help covering the final bit of funding to bring it all together.

The Funding

The total cost of the trip is $11,400 NZD, and my amazing parents have been helping every step of the way. I’ve also been working part-time while studying at university to contribute as much as I can. The payment plan is broken into monthly instalments—and now, as the departure date draws closer, I’m on the final leg of the funding.

The Details

Last year, I was honoured to be selected as one of 24 students from across Aotearoa to be part of the SGCNZ National Schools Shakespeare Production (NSSP) in Ōtepoti Dunedin. This was the final step in a journey that began at regional Shakespeare festivals, leading to the national stage, and eventually earning a place in the Young Shakespeare Company (YSC).

The YSC is an incredible programme that takes young performers to London for two and a half unforgettable weeks. While there, we’ll not only explore Shakespeare’s work at its birthplace, but also be directed by professionals at the Globe Theatre, attend special workshops, and take part in a range of theatre-related activities designed to deepen our craft and broaden our understanding of performance on a global scale.

This is a rare and amazing opportunity to experience Shakespeare’s world up close, to grow as an artist, and to represent Aotearoa on an international stage—and I couldn’t be more excited.

The Impact

This is an opportunity that very few people get, and I feel incredibly privileged to be part of it. The thought of not only performing with 23 other amazingly talented individuals, but also learning from professionals in the industry—right at the heart of Shakespearean theatre—is something truly special.

Getting to perform on the stage of Shakespeare’s Globe is a dream in itself, but the real gift is the knowledge, mentorship, and growth I’ll gain along the way. I have a huge passion for theatre, and I know this experience could open so many doors for me in the future.
