The Project
We’re Footage All Gone, a two-man film crew entering the 48Hours Film Competition, a nationwide cinematic sprint where you have just 48 hours to write, shoot, and edit a short film.
It’s intense, it’s chaotic, and we’re obsessed.
We’re raising funds to cover the competition entry fee and some essential gear hire so that we don’t end up filming our magnum opus on a cracked iPhone balanced on a stack of books.
With your support, we’ll turn our caffeine-fueled dreams into a film that’s weird, wild, queer, and 100% us.
The Team
We’re Alexis and Ryan. Two creative degenerates with too many ideas, not enough sleep, and a shared passion for turning beautiful chaos into art.
Alexis is a digital artist and photographer with a flair for visual storytelling. He’s spent years capturing raw, intimate, and unapologetic moments, both in the studio and out in the world. His work has carved out a niche in the kink photography scene and within the wider LGBTQ+ community, collaborating closely with performers and queer creatives to explore identity, power, and play through a deeply human lens.
Ryan is a DJ, sound sorcerer, and audio engineering student who began his creative journey composing music from scratch, teaching himself the language of rhythm, emotion, and controlled chaos. Deeply embedded in the queer nightlife scene, Ryan has brought dance floors to life with sets that range from dreamy to dirty, always with an ear for storytelling. Whether he’s DJing a packed warehouse or for some reason recording the creaking of a door, Ryan brings an intuitive sense of feeling to sound, the kind that gives your goosebumps goosebumps.
Together, we’re Footage All Gone, a duo powered by creative delusion, impulsive decision-making, and the belief that art is best made under extreme pressure with a side of panic. This is our love letter to lo-fi dreams, DIY ambition, and all things gloriously unhinged.

The Details
Our project is simple: make the weirdest, most “us” film we can in 48 hours.
We’re entering the 48Hours Film Competition under the Duo category, which means no backup crew, no editing team, no catering van. Just us.
We don’t know the genre, prop, or line of dialogue we’ll be given until the clock starts ticking, and that’s the fun of it!
What we do know is that we’ll throw everything we have into creating a film that’s bold, irreverent, heartfelt, and probably queer as hell.
We’re not in this for perfection. We’re in it for the ride, the story, the chaos, and the chance to create something unforgettable that can only be born under pressure.
The Impact
This isn’t just a short film, it’s an experiment in what two driven creatives can make in a weekend with zero chill and too much ambition.
It’s about storytelling with grit, humor, and queer joy.
Backing this project means backing underdogs, weirdos, and emerging voices in Aotearoa’s creative landscape. It means supporting stories that aren’t afraid to be different, awkward, honest, and a little chaotic.
We’re not aiming for Hollywood. We’re aiming for something stranger and more truthful, and we’d love you to be part of that.
