Feelings Club is a rebellious little drama-comedy short-form web series set in the most intense school in Aotearoa ... where a secret student support group becomes the only place to be real.

We’re raising funds to make Season One and drop it straight to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, also using this as a chance to show funders and studios the potential this show has to offer!

This isn’t just a series. It’s a movement about feeling more, not less - and reminding young people that being yourself is brave as hell.

Hi I'm Taylor Nixon, filmmaker from Aotearoa and the creator of Feelings Club. For the past six years I’ve been making music videos, commercials, and indie films. Now I’m throwing everything I’ve learned into this project - a bold, funny, heartfelt series about identity, emotion, and fighting the system.

And I’m not doing it alone. We’ve got an amazing team:

We’re a crew of indie creatives who believe in this story - and with your support, we’re ready to bring it to life.

We’re raising $30K through Boosted to give Feelings Club the foundation it needs – this is the core crowdfunding target that makes Season One possible. On top of that, additional support, including private funding and personal investment from Taylor, will help us reach the full vision for the series.

Here’s how the money is allocated:

• 70% – Production: cast, crew, gear, and locations
• 10% – Post: editing, sound, music
• 20% – Marketing: reaching the right audience online

The $30K gives us what we need to start production and deliver Season One at a professional standard – shot, edited, and released with paid cast and crew. It’s the foundation that makes the series real.

The full vision is a 22-episode season, which would require around $50K in total. If we exceed our campaign target, it brings us closer to that number, allowing:

• All episodes and richer storytelling
• More shoot days for performance and detail
• Higher production and post-production quality
• Wider reach through online promotion, collaborations, and live events

We also want to be transparent: if the crowdfunding goal isn’t met, or if supplementary funds don’t come through, we’ll creatively adapt the plan – whether that means adjusting scope, staging releases differently, or exploring additional funding options. The project will happen – we’ll just shape it according to the resources we secure.

In short: $30K = the foundation that makes Season One real; $50K = the full 22-episode vision. Every contribution helps bring this story to life.

Toby is the kind-hearted new kid at the harshest school in Aotearoa - where “feelings” are basically a punishable offence. But when he teams up with rogue art teacher Ms. Evans, they start a secret support group hidden inside a dusty old storage room.

Suddenly, it’s the only place where students can talk about what’s actually going on. And the people who show up? The golden boy. The invisible girl. Even the most popular kid in school.

It’s funny, heartbreaking, messy - and sometimes awkward as hell.
But it’s real. And that’s what makes it powerful.

This isn’t just another web series. Feelings Club is a message that feelings are for feeling, not hiding.

Young people are under pressure like never before - and the dominant narrative still tells them to toughen up. 

We’re flipping that on its head, and pulling the community together to make it happen.
