Dress the National Band of New Zealand
National Band of New Zealand | Music
The Project
Who: 34 of New Zealand's finest brass and percussion musicians.
Goal: Clothe them all for the World Champs
Why: So they can look great on the New Zealand stage.
If you've been to an ANZAC service, Santa Parade or seen a band in the park you've heard a kiwi brass band. Our cities and towns have a rich history of brass band excellence and the New Zealand Band is the pinnacle of that tradition.
Getting the money together to get a project like this off the ground is tough. We need uniforms, sheet music, money to record a CD, accommodation, rehearsal venues, design work completed, concert venues and a raft of other elements. All of this along with significant personal contributions will contribute to following in the footsteps of previous New Zealand Bands who have toured and competed overseas.
This project aims to raise funds for uniforms for new members which will be worn through the tour at our concerts in Hong Kong, Germany and the Netherlands as well as on the competition stage at the World Brass Band Championships.
