Hey everyone, so the books arrived this afternoon! 

The weather has been crazy all across NZ and the winds were disrupting flights, cargo and trucks and I was low key getting nervous, wondering if it would affect the book's delivery (and even at the back of mind began entertaining the thought that we might have to do the book launch without the books..)

But thank God they're here... And they are so cool! There is nothing like holding your own book freshly minted – and ready to be read by people.

We are prepping for the final printing of the books.. we are on the home stretch!

We are also putting on the book launch event together.. it's all beginning to take shape. DJ, food, coffee, installation.. all of it.

We have been spamming our social media the last few weeks – and if you follow us.. sorry! haha – once this campaign and book launch is over, we will be back to our regular social media schedule..

But while it is going, please help us get the word out and tell someone about it.

We just launched the book launch event!

You are invited to The Deep Black Book Launch and Exhibition happening on 24th October, Friday at 7pm at Majestic on Durham, 189 Durham Street South, CHCH. 

We would LOVE to have you there, and I would love to thank you in person for being part of this journey and helping us get there!

It will be a night of celebration, of art, music (my friend Caleb will be in the deck), food, drinks and good time to hang out – and of course first peek at the new book. We will have more information coming – as you can imagine, it's been quite a lot of things to juggle for us: getting the books proofed and printed, organising and running a Boosted campaign, putting a book launch event on – on top of full time work commitments, etc. (Not that we would have it any other way..)

We have been loving this process and it's been very fun (and full on) – so thanks for being part of the journey and enabling us to do it!

Books will be available on the night at a one-off launch price of $45 ($50 afterwards) including revised edition of Deep Blue at a discounted price.

Firstly, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING A PART OF THIS JOURNEY.

Over the weekend I have been redoing some pages from Deep Blue which I will be relaunching as a fresh new edition in October too. Deep Blue was originally published in 2019, but I have gone through it again with slightly refined art, updated backgrounds that help story-telling, updated fonts & typefacrs, and tightened up the edits too – just stuff that I wasn't able to do back in 2019 due to lack of time and resources. So you are helping me make that happen. 

I'll be launching the new edition along with book two "Deep Black" in October. 

I have attached a page I finished last night that explains the background for The Deep Series. Originally from book one.
