The Project
When a bright standup comedian is kidnapped, he finds himself in the basement of a burly, volatile middle-aged man who holds him at gunpoint. The man demands the comedian to do one thing: tell him jokes that will make him laugh.
The Team
This project is being worked on by several students in their final year of film production courses. We aim to create a beautiful and lasting short film that we can put through festivals. We are all highly motivated and excited to bring this idea to its full potential.

The Funding
Your donation will not go to waste.
Through your support, we would be able to provide catering for our team and pay for our cast. It would also allow us more leeway and resources to spend with our art department, helping us create a convincing and immersive experience through our set design, props and costuming.
The Details
Captive Audience is a dark comedy drama running 8 minutes. This short film follows a night between Chris, the comedian, and Rory, the kidnapper. Throughout the course of their panic-filled, desperate and hopefully funny evening, twists and turns reveal more about the reasonings behind their meeting.
The Impact
Our priority is to make the best short film we can make. We are determined to create a seriously immersive, entertaining and captivating (pun intended) movie experience; one that is worthy of running in festivals around the country and possibly around the world as well.
We believe that this is an important script to bring to life as well, not only through its entertainment value, but also through deeper and subtle investigations of human complexity. As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that the stakes are deeper than just a few jokes.
With your help, we are forever grateful and closer to our goals and dreams. Anything will be amazing help, whether a big donation, a small one, a medium one or sharing the page.
Thank you :)
