We have a release date! - May 1. Our self-distribution campaign, with my wife Sharon at the helm, has got us into 20 cinemas nationwide, with more to come.

The publicity campaign starts mid March, and we're all set to go.

So look out for it!

hi folks, we finished our 16 day shoot on the weekend. The filming went smoothly, and although Covid did threaten to make things difficult, we scraped through. A committed, hardworking crew and our very talented cast worked with great spirit and enthusiasm, and we've created something special. The editing and post-production journey has begun - we'll keep you in touch with progress!

hi all, an update for those good folk who threw their hard earned money at our little film. We've been through the editing process, screened the movie for our key investors and some industry colleagues - and the response was very positive. We're now on the long journey to find a theatrical distributor - and we're also looking at a minor recut to improve our chances on that front. But it's a lovely relatable romantic film. Thanks again for your help.

hey folks, after a long period of working to access the NZFC's post-production grant, where we were ultimately unsuccessful, our little movie is moving into the post-production phase. That means sound-editing and mixing, the composition of the music for the soundtrack, colour grading of the pictures and creation of titles and credits. This will take several months - but will culminate in us having a completed movie for you to see and enjoy, either later this year, or early next. cheers, Mike

Hey folks, the saga continues. Our movie is all finished now, and we had a very successful cast/crew/investor screening in Wellington a few weeks ago. Lots of praise for the movie, and a theatre owner very interested in screening it. Local distribution continues to be thorny and we'll be looking to do a limited release in Wellington to begin with later in the year. In the meantime here's the trailer for you to cast your eyes over!

I forgot to mention, the movie has a new title - The People We Love
